  • An Effective Teaching Method that uses the “I do, we do, you do” model to build independence through practice
  • Over 100 Cumulative Lessons that begin with letter recognition and phonetics, and build towards reading complete words

From letter recognition to word pronunciation you will witness exciting “light bulb” moments in your child as they joyfully learn to read with the Learn to Read Activity Book.

Get rid of the alligator and elephant and it would be perfect. The best, well thought out beginning phonics book I've seen in a long, long time. The major fault is that the sound for "a" is introduced with "alligator" and the sound for "e" is introduced with "elephant". The "L" after the vowel changes it's sound. "Apple" or "egg". would work a lot better. Otherwise an truly excellent book.Great investment Perfect book to grow with! Fun activities inside. My 3 year old loves it. She knows her phonics already so this was a great way to help advance her skills :)Introduces letters sounds and blends, etc. Mixed feelings. This wasn’t what I was expecting and I almost returned it, but my son loves it. I wanted a “curriculum” to teach my soon-to-be kindergartener to read. I was looking for something hands-on with activities and writing practice. This is not that. It does have activities, but no writing. My son is probably 90% through the book and he’s definitely not reading, but he’s closer than he was before and I think this book helped his develop the concept of reading. However, there’s just 2 pages assigned to each sound and then occasional review pages. So it really doesn’t allow enough time to really master a sound or build on what you already know.My son was eager to do it each day and did 5-10 lessons at a time. I do think him going through this will make it easier for him to learn to read, but I don’t feel like it actually taught him to read.
